Well, The Deck is finished. All bans are lifted. Please feel free to come use the pool as you like. Of course, we are about 2 weeks away from time to close it, but hey, it's all in the timing! LOL.
In other news, I am on day 7 of my latest attempt at Weight Watchers. It has been a good week. I will take my weight tomorrow morning and let you know how it went. They have a new program, and although I have tried it before, I have been toying with the thought of trying again. Or trying diet pills,. Or trying cutting off my head. Or anything to lose weight. When I started looking at the plan this time, it was making more sense. And I have to admit, the iPhone app for Weight Watchers makes it more "game like" and that appeals to me. I woke up last Monday morning just knowing that I was going to do it. So I did. And after a couple of days, when I felt like it was really a workable plan and something I could stick with, I confessed to Cindy. And I got her to check it out, and she joined later in the week. And Bennie. Although he hasn't made the commitment to be strictly on the plan, he is being very supportive, and we count what his points will be and he is working on making better choices too.
The negative is that I have felt like crap this weekend. I think I am suffering from sugar detox! But it is getting better. Cross your fingers. And get ready for the ride. I intend to bore you with my weight loss details. I mean, some people have blogs that all the do is talk about their weight loss. At least you get pictures of dogs to go along with it!
Other news. We have been talking about cars lately. And maintenance. And we decided to get rid of my mid-life crisis. We traded the convertible in on a Rogue. So now I look like LuLu. Only its the same color the convertible was. Our plan was to get rid of the high maintenance vehicle and replace it with an SUV that would not have any maintenance. We have had great luck with Bennie's Nissan, so hopefully this one will be just as good.
As Cindy said, we are now a 2 Rogue, 3 Escape family! But I really like it!
I bought some new shoes today. I have a pair of sandals that wrecked my feet. So I bought a beautiful pair of New Balance to try and relieve some of the pressure off these toes. And I was telling Cindy I had a hammer toe, and she looked it up, and now she has a hammer toe. She is so happy with genetics. But she wrecked her feet years ago being a waitress. I won't post a picture of my toe. You can't tell it anyway. It just hurts.
So that is about it around here. Looking forward to a boring week in Corporate America. Tuesday is Brenda's birthday, so I'm taking her to dinner Tuesday night.
