Happy Birthday Mikey!

This is the photo that won the "What picture will I share this time?"  The full head of white hair, and grown up pose in his Oh So 80's suit got my smile today.

And guess what, Cindy?  No "hanky alert" for this one.  I am not sure if it was the turmoil of the last half of last year, or the energy and emotion that went into the Walk, or if it was Cindy drama, or multiple cruises, or holidays, or Anniversary party, deaths, births, unemployment, divorce, moving, selling, all of the above, none of the above....

But for emotional posts, go back to November.  Last year. Or any other year I have been blogging.  Or March.  Any given year.  I have poured my heart into those posts.

And there will be more in the future.  But today, I am not feeling sad.  I felt extra sadness during the November posts. And you know me.  I bunch it all together and stress BIG TIME ALL AT ONCE.

All is right at the moment.  And I don't feel like being sad right now.  So everyone, think your favorite Mikey moment and share it with someone.  And if you didn't know Mikey, ask someone that did to share a story with you. 

And if you happen to have a 35 year old son, hug him once for me.  I miss mine.

Future Cruises

In light of the current events involving The Carnival Triump...(Small fire, no one hurt, floating around the Caribbean waiting to be tugged to Progreso...PROGRESSO????, and then guest flown by charter home)

No, I will not withdraw my love for cruising. And no I will not cancel any cruisie I may have booked now, OR will book in the future.

Here is what WILL happen.....

My past few cruises, I have been trying to downsize my packing to get all the clothes I need for a week into a ziplock bag. 

Screw that.

If I am going to be aimlessly floating around the sea waiting to be rescued, I WILL have clean underwear.  AND I will have clean clothes. 

So Bennie, get ready.  We will be carrying the maximum amount of luggage that 2 people can carry and still self assist.  AND, if I come home with clothes still un-worn, so be it.

But, I will not run out of clothes on the first day of floating around in the middle of the ocean. And come day six of floating around with no power... I may be selling my extra clothes to the highest bidder!

(And there will be a hidden box of red-hots, just in case we run out of food....)

Cruise

The blog has been quiet for a while.  That is by design.  I have not been in the mood to post.  I will probably do a blog about the last cruise, but will try to leave out duplications from the past 9 cruises, since they are all starting to look alike.

HOWEVER.....

I checked my Carnival page today, and it CONFIRMED that I am indeed a Platinum cruiser.  And I only need 141 days to become DIAMOND. With an average of 7 days per cruise, I will be Diamond in 21 more cruises!!! Woot! Woot! 

I have another goal!!!!!

(And a rash from the detergent they used on my free laundry service)
