This is it, again, many changes. But I wanted the blog to wake up,so I could share so much more than on Facebook! I will not be able to do pictures on here until we get home, so get ready to read!
Bennie and I have both retired. We are about to embark on a 14 day Alaskan cruise. We have been planning and paying on this for almost 2 years, so it better be good.
Last night, we flew into Los Angeles airport. I have never seen so many different airlines. And people. My goodness.. where is everyone going? The plane taxied for almost 30 minutes waiting for a spot to clear. (And I hadn't peed in 4 hours) all planes flying full due to cancelled Houston flights just added to the melee.
(Just watching the news..we saw a forest fire coming into LA. It is the LaTuna Canyon Fire if you want to go see it.)
So we go to the shuttle area to wait for our bus. And wait and wait. We of course picked the hotel (Crown Plaza) with the most unreliable shuttle service, and the shuttle driver was trained in Jamaica. It was muy fun.
But we finally made it, room is fine, clean and slept like a rock.
So that is day 1 of the trip. I will try to keep this going so I will have a record of all this. I need to clear the way for the May 2018 Gaia and Paw Memorial Alaska Cruise. I'll fill that in later. It's time for breakfast. Not on ship yet, so this costs money.
