It looks like every six months is my average for making entries. Let’s see... we are 9 months into this pandemic. And what does it look like. Hospitals are at capacity. Morgues are at capacity. Positivity rates are climbing everyday. We are asked to socially distance and wear masks. A lot of us do. But a lot don’t. It is very scary. They have learned how to deal with the virus better, but still lots of people are dying. The vaccine was just approved and should start being delivered next week.so the hope is, that by spring, enough people will have taken the vaccine, along with the 10% of the population that has had the sickness will get us to herd immunity. That sounds so promising.
Bennie and I spend our days doing nothing. Not really the way we planned retirement, but not safe to do anything. And so many places are closed, it’s not worth leaving the house for! Christmas is just around the corner, and they are asking us to not have Christmas gatherings. We will see how that works out.
Thomas is about to finish his first semester of 5K. And let me tell you. He is loving it. Macon Road Baptist was the best choice they could have made. He is thriving.and so smart. And during the pandemic he is safe. Cindy is working from home, so she is able to take him and pick him up from school.so it is working out well.
We took this time and did some maintenance to the house. New heating and air, gutter and paint, all that burning stuff. So the house should stay in good shape until our heirs have to deal with it.
